Kevin Goes Camping & A Blacklight Cinematic From Zombie

Hey everyone!

I have had a few posts in mind that I have wanted to make for a little while and today is the day I'm getting it all up here even though its a little later than I probably should have. Anywho  this part of the post is about a camping trip I took a couple weeks back when Whit left for Spokane.

So It was Friday night and my whit was in spokane and my old effects lead James invited me to go out to the bar and catch up a bit. We had a few drinks and played some pool and after which he invited me to go camping with him and a buddy the next day near highway two. Having scheduled a weekend of relaxing and playing games I wasn't to sure at first what I wanted to do but after a bit I decided that rest was for the dead and went camping despite my relaxing plans.

On Saturday James picked me up around twelve and we drove up north. Our initial Spot had been taken by a family already so we spent the next three hours looking for a new place to camp further along highway 2. eventually we came across some random side roads we decided to check out and found one of the coolest campsites I have ever been to.

At first there was also an older couple there but soon after we arrived and started setting up camp they left and we had this entire gravel beach alongside the river all to ourselves. the mountains surrounding us were beautiful in the golden sunset and the ambient sounds and smells from the surrounding trees and river made for a stunning evening. Here are some pictures from the event.
beautiful rock beach all to ourselves
sun coming through the trees warming and eventually burning our faces :D
This Game Is called Toss and Cuss. It involves roping two golf balls together then tossing them at a ladder and hoping they stick there for points. you toss.....then cuss
Had a huge Bonfire that evening. we burned a stump and made some hot dogs and some really good hamburgers that James made that were loaded with seasonings and onions. makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Next morning we had some really cool clouds rolling over the tops of the mountains

Words cant even begin to explain how cool this place was. seriously thinking about investing in a bumper dumper so i can get Whitney to come here with me

We had a breakfast of champions. First James grilled up some bacon then made eggs and hash browns in the bacon grease......ugh a man could never be so happy...

I had a super fun time and cant wait to do it again hopefully still this season before it starts to cool off.

One more thing I wanted to post about was this video that the company I worked at just released about the game we are currently working on. I worked really hard on this cinematic for about 3 weeks adding all sorts of effects. check it out :)

Ceremony

None of these pictures are from our professional photographer. We won't get those for a few weeks, so in the mean time these ones are all from our family and friends :) (Thanks guys!)

For those of you who didn't know, we had the ceremony on my parents property in their pasture. It was so beautiful!

We had the longest aisle/walkway I have ever seen! The flower lined pathway led you through a heart shaped arch to where to ceremony was to be held.

The parents were seated to the song "Celtic New Year" by Van Morrison.

Once they were seated and finished hugging one another, the bridal party walked down the aisle to "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train. We had a pretty large bridal party so I haven't been able to track down pictures of all of our peeps, but here is a  few :)

As long as I can remember, I've always wanted to walk down the aisle to "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison. My papa has sung it to me my whole life, telling me I was his brown eyed girl. Needless to say, the song has always been very special to me. Many people tried to talk me out of walking down to that version. They said that I should have someone play it on the guitar or something to make it softer, but it in all honesty it wouldn't have been the same. No one does it better than Van Morrison and I am so thankful that I stuck to my guns on this one, because it turned out to be better than I have ever imagined.

Pastor Branden Campbell from Portland Oregon was our wedding officiant and did an incredible job! Like we said before, we wanted to keep the ceremony short, sweet, slightly humorous (Kevin and I both love to laugh - especially together), and most importantly Christ centered. I can't even begin to describe how touching his words were.

Kevin and I decided that the first thing we wanted to do together as a married couple was take communion. We took a moment during the ceremony to break bread and pray with one another. During this short and intimate moment "I Will Follow You into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie gently played in the background.

After that, Kevin kissed his bride and we were pronounced man and wife! Popcorn was given to all our guest so they could throw it in the air as we came back down the aisle. As we walked back as a newly married couple "Obladi Oblada" by the Beatles played loudly for everyone to cheer, celebrate, and sing along with!

I will post about the reception tomorrow. Since we are on our honeymoon, I should probably get back to my honey ;)

Truly blessed,
Mrs. Hart

Rehearsal Dinner

Hello blog friends! It's been too long :) Kevin and I were too busy getting married to post anything, no big deal.

Let's start at the rehearsal dinner...

We began the night with our good looking bridal party doing a few practice runs of how the ceremony would go. Surprisingly, everyone did exactly what they were supposed to! (Except for my papa - he was having a hard time giving me away...poor guy) Finally, on the third time he got it down and we were able to start grubbin' ;)

Kevin's parents hired a caterer who made an amazing taco bar. This wasn't just yo mama's taco bar. Everything was fresh and he made himself! It was fantastic! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. And of course we had to wash it down with an ice cold margarita, mmmmm.

After dinner there was a slideshow, a short and imperfect performance, and there was also a small (and dangerous :/) stage with an open mic set up for people to share stories of Kevin and/or I.

We ended the evening smoking cigars and cheers-ing to the upcoming nuptials.

Jenn and I :) Love that girl!

Me, my dad, and my mama

The whole family!
Hart's + Dobson's :)

My papa practicing giving me away, took him three times to get it right!

Yay! 3rd times a charm - let's eat!

Seattle Bridal Shower

A couple weekends ago my maid of honor (Rebekka) and sister-in-law (Stephanie) co-planned my bridal shower. Stephanie was kind enough to offer her home as the party palace and it turned out beautiful. She is a party planning diva! God has blessed her with a wonderful talent of hosting and she enjoys doing it (as does everyone else).

We spent the first hour or so chatting, catching up, and drinking mamosas.

Then we moved on to games!

Rebekka was in charge of picking them out and she did a great job! We all had some really good laughs :)

Then it was time to open gifts!
Boy, let me just say that I have some very generous people in my life. I was not expecting so much great stuff!

Thank you to all who came and made it a really special day for me.  I had such a great time! Love you all!

10 days!
